The Knowledge of the CIMS Intelligence Function is a self-paced, online course designed to grow consistent practice amongst Intelligence Function team members in an emergency. The course consists of six learning modules and a level 4 unit standard assessment - 32161 Demonstrate knowledge of the Intelligence function within the Coordination Incident Management System.

To enhance learning and improve success in the assessment we encourage learners to organise study groups and/or to work with people who are experienced in the CIMS 3rd edition Intelligence function.  As this is a new course and unit standard assessment, we would like to build a community of engaged practitioners who can support future learners to achieve the assessment supporting NEMA to strengthen New Zealand’s emergency management capability.
