National Transition Period owing to the impacts of COVID-19

A National Transition Period is now in place for all of New Zealand owing to the impacts of COVID-19. The National Transition Period came into force at 12.21pm on Wednesday 13 May 2020 – the point at which the state of national emergency expired. The National Transition Period will remain in place for 90 days unless extended or terminated earlier. The National Transition Period does not change the COVID-19 Alert Level.
