Coordinated incident management system (CIMS)

CIMS was designed primarily for emergency service responders (full time staff and volunteers), but the system is relevant to anyone involved in handling emergency situations. Course programmes and training packages have been designed to meet the requirements of the current unit standards at Level 2 and Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework.

The delivery of training programmes at Level 2 is primarily the responsibility of single agencies, whereas programmes at Level 4 must be delivered in a multi-agency training environment. (that is, for joint-agency delivery to joint-agency audiences).
