The following roles and profiles are to provide guidance to CDEM Groups when appointing people to these key CDEM positions:
Public Information Manager
The Public Information Manager’s role is to coordinate all aspects of public information including media liaison, information centres, public enquiries and reception of VIP visitors in accordance with the National Civil Defence Plan (Part 7)

Recovery Manager
The Group Recovery Manager’s role is to facilitate and coordinate the short/medium term recovery activities for the affected community/communities within the CDEM Group.

Welfare Manager
The Welfare Manager’s role is to facilitate and co-ordinate the welfare activities associated with a local emergency; initially in the immediate response phase but also in the recovery phase with the disaster area.
