The Government Helpline 0800 77 99 97 is activated.
The purpose of the Government Helpline is to provide information about services and assistance available to people affected by a declared civil defence emergency.
The helpline opened at 7.00am and will remain open until 6.00pm this evening, Friday 16 December.
