Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry, Radio New Zealand, the Radio Broadcasters' Association, Television New Zealand and Canwest TV Works

A Memorandum of Understanding on the radio broadcast of civil defence messages was signed on August 3, 2006, and for television broadcast of civil defence messages on December 14, 2006. The agreement provides a framework for the delivery of civil defence messages before and during emergencies on the major radio networks and individual stations and television networks around the country.
