Emergency Management Otago are pleased to invite you to the South Island Emergency Management Conference. We have an exciting line up of speakers and entertainment all around our theme of ‘Building Resilience Together’
Being held in our beautiful Queenstown at the start of Spring the environment and scene scape surrounding continues to remind us of the fragility of what we in Emergency Management also sometimes take for granted let alone the general public. As peers in Emergency Management this conference will continue to offer opportunities to forge strong collaboration, share best practice and ensure we achieve our objective of building stronger and more resilient communities together.
Thursday evening is all about networking amid the stunning backdrop of Lake Wakatipu when we will take a leisurely cruise on the Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station. The conference dinner will consist of a gourmet barbeque and over dinner we will have the pleasure of hearing from our guest dinner speaker, Mark Inglis. Mark is well known to many and he will be sharing his experiences on how he has personally survived significant adversity, triumphed, and learned the art of resilience. Key messages will include; making tough calls, the importance of collaboration, and generally being well prepared and adaptable.
Our programme is packed with great speakers, workshops and seminar sessions that will enable you to enjoy sessions individually.
